Connecting projects: HE Cluster events

The PARIS project was invited to contribute to a Horizon Europe Cluster 5 Destination 1 clustering event, bringing together EU-funded projects working on different aspects of climate action and the transition towards climate neutrality. Held online on 10 October 2024, with support from CINEA and DG RTD, the event provided an opportunity to present ongoing research, exchange perspectives and identify areas of complementarity.

PARIS contributed to a session alongside projects addressing climate tipping points and the links between climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals. The project presented its approach to strengthening national greenhouse gas inventories by combining bottom-up inventory methods with top-down atmospheric observations and modelling. This combination aims to improve the reliability of emissions estimates and strengthen the evidence base for climate policy, with a focus on methane, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, F-gases, organic matter aerosols and black carbon.
